für mich hört sich das ganz so an als wenn du einen Virus hast.

Du könntest mal, während des spiels über den Taks-Manager im Reiter Leistung deine CPU Auslastung überwachen. Kratzt diese permanent an die 100% wäre das höchst unnormal.

Für diesen Fall kannst du im ersten Reiter "Prozesse" diese mal nach CPU sortieren um zu sehen welcher Prozess so stark an deinem CPU nargt. Ist Avira ganz oben mit dabei dann kannst du davon ausgehen dass Avira mit irgend einem Problem kämpft.

Lasse Avira am besten einen kompletten Scan des Systems machen.

Die host Datei kannst du auch mal überprüfen, du findest sie unter c:\windows\System32\Drivers\Etc öffne die datei hosts mit Notepad. Standardmäßig sollte der Inhalt wie folgt aussehen:

Mein persönlicher Tipp wäre, Avira ganz zu entferenen und nur den Windows Defender zu nutzen.
